Village Green

ANIMAL WELFARE
The Kloof & Highway SPCA are focused on the prevention of cruelty to animals. Animals are vulnerable to the attitudes of man and depend on the compassion and concern of caring individuals who recognise them as sentient beings and who appreciate their responsibility to protect animals from pain, suffering and neglect.
The SPCA movement constantly strives to guarantee animals their Five Freedoms which are:
Freedom from thirst, hunger and malnutrition
Freedom from discomfort
Freedom from pain, injury or disease
Freedom to express normal behavior
Freedom from fear and distress
VILLAGE GREEN

The Village Green provides our Society with income we can count on to continue with our vital functions in animal welfare! Your support is truly valued.
Our Village Green incorporates our beautiful gardens; children’s entertainment; Tea Garden; Nursery; eleven different charity shops and various other features. Fast becoming one of the most popular destinations for an exciting day out, our Village Green sees many families, schools, club groups and out of town visitors every day, with great food, bargain shopping and a wonderful relaxing atmosphere that brings visitors back, over and over again.
A very special feature in our Village Green is our Wishing Well that was built in loving memory of “Darryl, Mark & Wade.” These are the three beloved sons of Maureen & Brenda of Tots ‘n Teens and Loraine of Toys. They loved animals and will continue to bring in a legacy of love to our Society in years to come.
Children can enjoy hours of fun on our Jungle Gym. Surrounded by rolling lawns and large trees, which is the perfect playground. With a climbing wall; cargo net; monkey bars; slide; bridge; swings and playhouse, our Jungle Gym is sure to keep your toddlers busy while mum and dad enjoy refreshments in our Tea Garden.
On special days, and in particular our Open Saturdays, children are entertained with a Jumping Castle.
