Inspectorate Story: Alfie
From a sad and forlorn little puppy in our Kloof and Highway SPCA Clinic to a thriving, energetic, and incredible dog this is the story of Alfie. Alfie was brought into our Kloof and Highway SPCA by an Inspector who was called to collect a stray in Pinetown. Alfie was thin and dehydrated, but what was so upsetting was to see his jagged cut ears that were still bleeding and infected. His tail had been broken, and what should have been a wagging tail going back and forth was a tail that hid crooked and bent between his legs.

Fast forward to June and the most perfect couple who were looking to add to their existing family fell in love with Alfie. The minute they laid eyes on Alfie, his playfulness, energy, and his zest for life they knew he was their.
Through everything he had endured, he was a survivor with not a hint of bitterness or anger. Alfie now has a life of bedtime cuddles, walks in the forests, and visits to a farm. We want to say to all the Alfie‘s out there that with your imperfections you are beautiful and deserving but more importantly, we want to say to Arthur and Theresa, thank YOU for choosing to adopt and give this amazing soul a second chance.
We are so very grateful!
